"Random Access Memories" Drummer Reveals Daft Punk FinishedUnreleased Album 7 Years Ago

Maybe we'll "Get Lucky" and see the release of a new Daft Punk album before our grandchildren are born.

In a recent interview with Southern Illinois University Carbondale's student-run media organization alt.news 26:46, one of the percussionists who helped record Daft Punk's final album, Random Access Memories, revealed that the robots have a completed, unreleased album in their archives. The musician, referred to mononymously as Quinn, shared his personal experiences performing on tracks like "Give Life Back to Music," "Instant Crush" and "Touch," and revealed what it was like collaborating with the legendary electronic music duo.

About halfway through his interview, Quinn casually shared that he and guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. helped Daft Punk work on another album after they finished recording Random Access Memories in 2012. Due to Daft Punk's enigmatic nature and disbandment, they unsurprisingly have not publicly acknowledged the existence of the unreleased album.

However, it's worth noting that Quinn revealed that the robots permitted him to speak on the album's existence so fans have a glimmer of hope that it will eventually see the light of day.
